Pulpwood generated from our harvesting operations is transported to our yard at Two Mile Borris, Co Tipperary. This timber is stored to dry to the required moisture content. When suitable the timber is chipped into the shed, from where it is dispatched to customers when required.
Deliveries to customers are generally made with walking floor trucks. Smaller quantities of chip can also be delivered with a tractor and trailer.
Wood-chip can also be delivered with a wood-chip blower trailer to discharge fuel into storage bins not accessible for tipping trailers.
Wood-chip can be supplied in a variety of sizes and moisture content to suit customer specifications.
The wood chip business forms an important part of the business as it creates a guaranteed outlet for pulp wood created from Forestlink timber harvesting operations. (link to timber harvesting section of website)
